DOPPELGÄNGER

An animated music video for Doppelgänger by British band Sea Power. Created in collaboration with 2 friends and colleagues (Mia Cain and Moritz Höll) as well as the band for a university semester project; subsequently screened in several festivals, Crossing Europe 2023, StopTrik 2023, and Animafantasia 2023 among them.

I had a heavy hand in the concepting phase and in management; animation was split pretty evenly between us. My favourite shot I made is the close-up of the horse muscles while it's galloping (below, left). 2023.

ES IST WOHL SOMMER

Full Title: ALS ICH HEUTE AUFGEWACHT BIN, WUSSTE ICH NICHT, WELCHER TAG ES WAR. ES IST WOHL SOMMER

AUGUST: Harbinger of heatstroke and heartache. Interspersed with excerpts from poetry by Olivia Lehnert, this animated movie accompanies a young adult in snapshots of summer liminality.

To graduate from university, I wrote and directed a short film to accompany my bachelor's thesis on perspective warping in 2D animation. The 10 minute hand-animated film is not yet available to watch online, but will be once it has been screened at a couple festivals in mid-late 2024.

RHYTHM OF TRIVERZ

Rhythm of Triverz (ROT or Triverz for short) is a 3D action rhythm soulslike I'm working on with some colleagues and friends under the lead & vision of Mia Cain. We started developing the (unfortunately not yet released) demo in the spring-summer of 2023 as a semester project, and are continuing working on it independently now.
I'm responsible for the character animation + some rigging (in Blender), and some project management work. The project will be showcased at a table and in a gamedev talk at the Vienna Comic Con in November 2023.

REISS DI ZOM, DAVE!

Reiß di zom, Dave! or Dave for short is an ADHD simulator I made with Mia Cain and Moritz Höll for university. In this game, the player has to motivate Dave to write an email by finally doing all the chores he's been putting off.
I mostly programmed for this project (in C# for Unity), and made some simple UI assets in Krita and Photoshop. Summer 2022.

ASSORTED CURRENT PROJECTS

Other than my thesis film, I am working on several other projects currently, most of them for university.
For example, with Mia Cain, I am designing and developing at serious game about being transgender in high school in the form of a resource-management roguelite UI-clicker lifesim in the style of Japanese game Tokimeki Memorial - though without the dating sim aspects.
We are collaborating on game design; I will be responsible for all art assets (pixel art). Estimated completion: January 2024.

SO DUST YOUR TONGUES AND INSTRUMENTS (right) is an interactive poem Moritz Höll and I wrote in 2022; now we are slowly crawling towards illustrating it on the side when we have the time.

MISCELLANEOUS

These are various works from years of university assignments - some character design, some visual world development (middle; looping gif), some self-portraiture (middle right), and some sprites for a small video game (bottom). 

Most of these were realized in Krita and Photoshop; the portrait is vector art made in Adobe Illustrator. Collectively dated 2021-2022.
